The newly designed AKG legend, K 271 MK II combines the benefits of AKG's circumaural design for extreme comfort and a closed-back design for maximum isolation from ambient noise. Thanks to its XXL transducers, the K 271 MK II sounds clean, smooth and very rich.

The K 271 MK II is the perfect choice for any application where sonic bleed could cause problems such as broadcast work.

Another important feature of the K 271 MK II is the addition of a switch in the headband that mutes the audio just as soon as the headphones are taken off.

    These K271s are great. I wear them for long periods of time everyday with no discomfort. The sound is great and their ability to block out the sounds of my co-workers is amazing.

    Also, they come with an extra set of ear cups, a screw on 1/4inch adapter and two styles of cord which is awesome.

    One of the cords is really long. Sometimes its a pain, like when it gets caught in my chairs rolling feet, but it also lets me move about my desk without worrying about getting the headphones ripped off my head. Switching cords is simple though, so if I need a short cord for something like flying, I just disengage the longer one and switch.

    I use these headphones for personal use at my job where, for good chunks of the day, I am able to listen to music. The sound quality is great, and I'm sure others can attest to that, but what I noticed immediately was how comfortable these headphones are. I could wear these all day without any discomfort which is key.

    The headphones keep out exterior sound ridiculously well and since I routinely have people in and out of my office that require my attention the ability for the headphones to cut off sound once removed is extremely beneficial. (Posted on 4/23/13)
