Great sounding micAll my reviews (47)May 24, 2011

Review by Johnny5I use this mic for vocals and acoustic guitar. It sounds amazing for the price, though it helps to have a good mic preamp. It's warm and lush without getting boomy (though proximity effect is *always* an issue especially with condensers). Having a bass cut right on the mic will help you trim out some of that, though - and it also makes a world of difference with p-popping. When you don't have a low-frequency cut built into the mic, you have to bring in a lower overall signal to compensate for the big burst of air with p-popping. Since you can trim the low end, alot of that stays out of your signal chain and you can have hotter overall levels. not that you need them, the noise floor on this thing is so low as to be practically inaudible. Great mic.
Yes, I recommend this product.
