Review by bFunkI like this in conjunction with my M-Audio C400. I can bring in two different mixes and then choose which mix goes out of which set of headphones. That makes it great for me to listen to a balanced mix and the person I'm tracking to be a little louder in their own ears, so they can hear themselves, and you can switch mixes on the fly so when they listen back they can hear the more balanced mix. That also makes it great for tracking a couple of different instruments direct, such as keys, guitar, and/or bass. It's plenty LOUD and has external power. It's also small and since the controls are in the front I can set the C400 on top of it so it doesn't take any extra space on the desk. Sound quality isn't the very best, but for what we're doing it doesn't necessarily need to be. The controls feel kind of cheaply-made, but it's an inexpensive headphone amp - what do you expect?
