Rhythmic Robot Intros Jennings Univox Virtual Instrument
Rhythmic Robot’s new creation, the Jennings, is based off of the hardware version of the Univox Jennings, and was designed with the complete look and feel of the instrument, along with its synthesizer abilities. The first Univox was designed in 1946 by two men, Derek Underdown and Tom Jennings who had careers in creating Vox amplifiers at the time. It often saw use with bands on the road, which needed keyboards to accompany their bass pianos.
The software version offers a frontal view of the unity which faces the keys and knobs instead of looking down on them from a bird’s eye view.
