The Roland SH-101 Synthesizer

Roland synthesizers are less well known than their infamous drum machines that propelled many beat makers to fantastically successful careers.  Presently, newer synthesizers like the Roland GAIA SH-01 offer all the bells and whistles of their analog brothers and more, but artists still seek out and session with their old synthesizers that were produced decades ago.

The original Roland SH-101 got dusted off and jacked-in for a small performance by Marko Ettlich.  In his short routine, he works with the limited analog tools available to him (saw, square, pwn, noise filter) to create the type of sounds that top producers (The Prodigy, Aphex Twins) still put out today.
