REVIEW: Numark 4Trak Traktor DJ Controller

Numark’s NS6 has been a worthy contender, and Numark has been hot on the heels of Traktor in their production of DVS controllers.  Of course, Traktor doesn’t have much to worry about since most of Numark’s controllers are designed to run Native Instruments software as it is.

Numark 4Trak Traktor DJ Controller

The Numark 4Trak looks awfully similar to the NS6, and that’s because it shares 90% of its functionality with its predecessor.  Like the NS6 it acts as a stand-alone mixer when no DVS software is present, and this is welcomed considering the financial hit that it takes to purchase any of these units.  In the long run, however, it does save some green as by each part separately would cost you nearly double.

Notable differences in the 4Trak are the 12 knobs angled towards the user on the top end of the deck and of course, it’s silver faceplate.
