Review: djay 1.6 for iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch
So now that Algoriddim’s new version of djay (version 1.6) is out on the market – what has been changed, and what’s better about it? The first that that you’ll notice is that there haven’t been any obvious changes to the interface, unless you’re one of the lucky few to have scored a new iPhone 5 – in which case you’ll take advantage of the extra screen space with more visible options at your finger tips.
Of course the most anticipated change was Apple’s doing, with their updated iOS 6. The dual stereo output means that live cueing and listening is available using both the headphone jack and the 30-pin connector (if you have an iPad). In usage, it works as advertised.
