The Roland Juno 6

Here we see a classic Roland Juno 6.  Without midi outputs, it functions as a basic six voice polyphonic synthesizer with 1 oscillator per voice.  Just judging by the looks of the frequency controls on each segment above the keys, it’s obvious that this thing has been around a while.  The Juno’s chorus and filters are which allowed it to produce big sound, even with limited on-board instruments.

The Roland Juno like is still alive and kick today, with offerings like the Roland Juno-Gi mobile synthesizer with digital recording.  A lot has changed since its birth and it now includes a digital recorder and of course, midi control.
