Dubstep Christmas Lights

Depending on where you live, the holiday season brings out the best and worst in people.  I don’t mean Christmas cheer or real life Grinches that cant’ stand the holidays, but rather, the types of decorations people put up around their houses.  Holiday lights are pretty standard – and with LED technology it means that we don’t have to deal with shattered glass bulbs or short circuiting like we used to.  In fact, with all the cool LED modules and decorations that are out there, one can be even more creative and take Christmas decorations to a whole different level.

Years ago, one eccentric neighbor went “all out” with his lighting and used sequenced Christmas lights that flashed to different patterns, based on the song that was playing.  I believe he played his tunes from a loudspeaker placed around his house.  The next year, he took it a bit further by broadcasting his music on an AM station, so that spectators could listen along from the comfort of their car while they watched the spectacle.  This year’ iteration of the same concept as taken the idea of lighting and added more modern tunes, including the likes of Skrillex and Katy Perry.  It might not be your cup of tea but it is definitely creative.
