Skratchloop iOS looper

I have many pet peeves when it comes to using a macbook for DJing use.  Bear in mind, that I’m a completely biased Windows users who is stubborn.  For one, I feel like a complete novice when it comes to navigation – I don’t know where files are typically stores, and I find myself using the mouse instead of quick keyboard commands as I would on a PC.  The second one is the different types of files and file systems it will not read.  It is very hard to have an external hard drive that is both compatible with OSX and Windows, without needing to do a bit of homework first.  Both systems have to agree on one that is compatible, and that means sacrificing something or another.

The biggest pet peeve I have with a Mac is that flash programs will not run on them.  Sounds like nothing to complain about, but for a scratch DJ, it is everything.  You see, we like to run looped audio to scratch with, instead of flipping a record over every 5 minutes – but our Macbooks, which work so well using a DVS, cannot handle a simple looping program running in flash.  Thankfully an app creator has been working around this solution.
