GuitarJack 2 USB Multiplatform

Connecting a guitar to your digital device, say a computer, to record audio doesn’t have to be hard or complicated.  However, if you want to have control over your sound and end up with a decent recording you will have to do some homework.  Plugging your RCA out to your Line In on your computer will be acceptable for DJs who want to record a mix here and there, but it is a bit more complicated for guitarists and singers since their signal won’t be boosted properly.  Either that, it will be over-boosted into a clipping mess.  There are already plenty of hardware solutions that can be had and suffice buying a full blown audio interface, little portable devices are also becoming a good solution.

While IK Multimedia has been the forerunner in creating interfaces for musicians that use an iPad, they are not the only ones out there.  GuitarJack 2, as the name suggest, is an interface that allows a guitar to become piggybacked into a personal computer.  One feature that is nice is that it works both on a PC and a Mac, so there is little need to play OS wars with yourself on this one.  It sort of sucks that it does not have any sort of MIDI option though.
