10 Busking Tips

Depending on where you live, you may be able to find street performers trying to serenade and woo pedestrians for some hard earned cash here and there.  Maybe you’ve modestly given them a few dollars or two when you discovered that, wow, they actually have some talent.  Of course, there are just as many street performers without raw talent who need a serious lesson about the real world and how it works.  Many of these performers, called buskers, make a living this way and have gone on to become discovered.  Some of them now have professional careers which started from the streets of a beach city.

Busking is not as straightforward as you might guess, and there are hurtle to tackle before you even drag your gear out onto the streets.  For a DJ who wants to perform it can be even more difficult.  You will need a power source and you will need permission to do it in the first place.  Often, a street performer will find him or her breaking three or four laws just by picking up a microphone.  Regardless, it can be a good experience for those who think they have the talent it takes to make it big.
