DJ and Producer Documentaries: Part 5
The news and information that we hear on the television and internet these days is often regurgitated or twisted so many times, that we cannot take it on full face value. Word of mouth spreads quickly, but news on the internet can spread like lightning. Sometimes it is completely false and was only created to spread buzz or to create controversy. Even the gear companies will send out a secret bit of news information in order to create hype for a new product coming out. Quite simply, fast news is nice, but not as good as informative presentations that have been thought out. We are beginning to see more interview and documentaries of figures who are involved in music or music making.
These documentaries often do not focus on their music making strategies, but rather, they give the viewers a small window into their everyday lives. Their personal life is often the most interesting, which showcases a mix of family problems combined with the daily work routine. Even popular DJs have to learn how to balance being a road performer as well as son, a father, and a husband. It is not easy, and an average person with a regular job can understand where they are coming from.
