Rainboard Isomorphic Music Keyboard
The summer NAMM show is not as popular as the regular winter season festival, and the amount of products you’ll see on display will be much slimmer than you are used to. All of the big name manufacturers usually wait until the right time to release their newest creation – or perhaps they wait until their competition releases something that they can easily outdo. Because of the strategy involved in creating new products, you can expect to see smaller innovative products being shown on display, rather than earth shattering items that are guaranteed to be must haves. What we are seeing (besides that massive amount of MIDI controller systems), is a trend towards the DIY machines.
Many of these machines are not unique, other than the remote programming that goes into each one of these little devices. What makes a machine better than the next comes down to design and how well the product was thought out before it reached production. The Rainboard Isomrphic controller isn’t special because of what it is made of – it is special because of how it is arranged. There are several arcade style controller built in sequence; something that would take a hobbyist a very long time to do.
