Review: Livid Instruments Base Controller
There are different stages that a piece of gear goes through before it actually becomes a boxed product that can sell in stores. The idea comes first, but not without much objection to it. When a company who already makes gear, decides to make something new – they have to consider what kind of profit it will make. If they are wrong, they give the company a reputation for creating duds. Another type of development process happens when a lone creator takes a hacked up idea and mass produces it. These homegrown plans are some of the most creative ideas we have ever seen, but getting it to the masses is the harder problem.
There is just no way that a one man show can compete with a company that employs hundreds or thousands of people. They will never be able to beat their prices on a similar gadget, and they will never be able to deal with the amount of money these other guys are working with. Of course, when a small company makes something, there is a lot of love that goes into it. Some would say that making less of a product means you spend more time into making each one.
