Numark NS7II Serato DJ Controller

If you walk into a store like Best Buy and try to find decent audio or DJing gear, you’re going to have a hard time.  This assumes that you are someone in the know, and you know what is worth buying at all.  It’s the same scenario for someone who is looking for good car audio gear – you won’t find it here.  Most of what you see for DJs is that which is meant for beginners who know nothing about the hobby.  You’ll find an array of cheap MIDI controllers which are meant for DJing, but you won’t find anything like CDJ’s or even decent turntables.

However, there is an exception to the rule.  Some of what they carry from manufactures like Stanton and Numark is actually pretty damn good. If you’re lucky, you might even find a NS7 on display for people to play around with.  While they will never be what turntables and CDJ’s are, they are pretty damn decent and worth your attention.  The newest NS7 doesn’t stray from its original form too far, but takes what it already had and has built upon it.  Small changes include the beefing up of knobs and faders, which will surely take some abuse.
