REVIEW 2: Numark NS7II DJ Controller by Arkaei
The Numak NS7 II has been out long enough for a few smart people to come along and review. Altogether, it looks like a beautiful machine. The design hasn’t strayed off too far from the original, but the new one uses metallic faceplate and adds a few other goodies to the mix. I don’t see many DJs jumping to this as their first option if they have been in the game for a while, but some of them may simply buy one to take with them when the turntables are not an option. I’ve used one before and the decks feel slightly strange, yet they were actually very precise.
The only thing I could not get over was the size of it. Usually I would be complaining that something was too big, but this time the controller itself is large while the decks are small. This hasn’t changed from version 1 to version 2, although some advancement in its design has been made. The pads are placed in a good spot, this was you are not reaching over the decks to press a cue button – but the look of them could have been nicer. They don’t seem to match what Pioneer has.
