Revisiting the Technics petition and poll one last time
We are actually pretty lucky to live in an era where any idea imagined is actually possible to the average person. Remember when we had to wait for a company to create an idea in order to hopefully buy it in the future? The opposite is true for many today. It is the people who have an idea that they want to bring to market, so they rely on a manufacturer to take their idea and produce it. Some of these people don’t even need a manufacturing company to get it going, they just need the support of potential buyers who are interested.
If this is true, is there a chance that the people can bring the much loved Technics 1200 turntables back from the dead? We can poll and we can petition all we like, but ultimately it comes down to a decision made by the guys over at Panasonic. The problem here is that talk is cheap, and who really knows if Technics will ever be profitable again. It kind of goes with that saying, “You don’t know what you have until it is gone.” I will probably never sell my Technics, even if all they do is sit and collect dust.
