How To: Beatz and Lyrics 2 Go

If you have been following us on facebook, you might have noticed all the posts about the RV. If you haven’t heard, we are recording live sessions for a mixtape at the A3C Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta, GA. One might ask, “How do you accomplish such a feat?” The answer is simple, deck out an RV with Auralex, AVID, Focusrite, JBL, and Mackie equipment and let it rip. Below is a glimpse of what we did.

Step 1: Rent an RV

RV Rental

We rented this work horse to get the job done. We needed enough room for a Vocal booth, DJ set-up, and a Production Studio.

Step 2: Set up Equipment

Production Studio

Huge ups to our friends at AVID, Focusrite, JBL, and Mackie for providing the equipment we are using. To name a few things, we have a ProFire 2626, Focusrite ISA 220, Studiophile DSM3, and an Axiom Pro 25. You can see all the products we are using and learn more about them on our A3C page.

Step 3: Deck it out

Auralex Vocal Booth

Auralex really hooked us up and provided sound treatment for the entire RV. With a little artwork here and there, we were able to completely transform the interior of the RV to make it Unique.

Step 4: Record

Trek Life Recording

Now that we are all set up, it’s time to record. Check back for updates and exclusive footage of what goes on in the Unique Squared Mobile Studio at the A3C.

Be U. Be Unique.
