Allen & Heath xone:23 Mixer

Allen & heath mixers are becoming a rarity in the DJ world.  A&H can be looked at in the same way Ecler or Mackie is looked at.  They make great stuff, but rarely does a DJ seek them out if they are only beginning their journey as a working DJ.  Most will flock around what is new and what has been out for long enough to feel comfortable with.  Rane and Pioneer obviously take the cake when it comes to club or scratch mixers, but that doesn’t prevent an old dog from coming up with a few new tricks.  For all that I cannot say about A&H, I will say that they are definitely unique.

They do not have that sleek look that Pioneer seems to rely on – but they do have a few cards up their sleeve.  Other Allen & Heath products are well known for their knobs and FX panel, so why should the Xone:23 be any different?  On the outer skin – it looks like any small 2 channel mixer, but there are some parts to it that make it look unique.  This one is actually smaller than your usual 10” mixer, but that seems to be what gives it so much character.
