A3C Mixtape: Beatz & Lyrics 2 Go

It’s hard to believe that a month has past since we finished recording the Beats & Lyrics 2 Go Mixtape in the Unique Squared Mobile Studio at the A3C Hip Hop Festival. There was a lot of hard work and planning put into the making of this and we finally want to share the finished product with you.

To make this all happen we partnered with manufacturers who provided us with products to use in the RV. From AVID, we were given a Sputnik mic, ProFire 2626 interface, Studiophile Q40 headphones, Axiom Pro 25 MIDI controller, DSM3 studio monitors, and iLok key for ProTools. Focusrite provided us a workhorse, with their ISA 220 mic preamp. JBL provided a great set-up for our DJ station, LSR 2328P studio monitors, a LSR 2310SP sub, and MSC1 system controller. We were also given Auralex to cover the entire interior of the RV and linen closet, which we used for our vocal booth, and we used a Mackie Big Knob for talk back and monitoring.

The artwork for the mixtape was done by Goldi Gold, who also provided the artwork that we used for the Unique Squared Mobile Studio. Goldi is a huge supporter of the True School Hip Hop movement and his unique artistic style is highly sought after. We were honored to be able to work with a tremendous talent.
