Numark Mixtrack Pro Review

MadFlip’s Thoughts:

Hot Cues, Loops, and Effects

Rather than an EQ kill section on the MIXTRACK we reviewed last month, this has a Hot Cue, Loops and Effects section that allows you to map cue points in your mix and add effects. The loop section also features an automatic loop feature to set up quick loops in preset measures.

Responsive Turntables

The turntables on the MIXTRACK PRO are extremely sensitive and allow you to scratch and nudge. By turning off the scratch feature, this allows you to use the entire plate to nudge. These are responsive turntables and allow you to really get into what you are doing.

Virtual DJ LE

This is a new software that comes with the MIXTRACK PRO. It works really well with this controller and maximizes the new features of the MIXTRACK PRO. This does …

Mackie Onyx Blackjack First Look

The wait is finally over. Here is the Mackie Blackjack first look and short review from Unique Squared. It is a 2X2 recording interface that is great for home studios and musicians on the go. Don’t let the size fool you. It has Mackie’s world renown Oynx Mic Preamps, zero latency digital recording, and a sleek, ergonomic, well constructed design.  It’s really great how Mackie has spent some time thinking about the musician on a budget or someone just needing something portable this time.

Watch the video, read about the features, and contact us if you have any other questions.

Mackie Says:

“Let’s face it. If you could fit one of our flagship Onyx 1640i consoles into your workspace and budget, you probably would do it. But that shouldn’t mean you have to settle for the cheapest, plastic 2×2 interface available. We’ve spent serious time and research creating the Onyx

Customer Bio: DJ MooseHead

Every once in a while we receive emails from our customers thanking us for the support we provided them. Here is one that stood out.

Frank Mazzuca contacted us because he wanted to get his son a DJ Controller that is great for beginners but still fully functional for Professional gigs. He spoke to one of our Pro Sales Representatives, Scott Magno, and they both agreed that the Mixtrack was the perfect product.

“I introduce to you DJ MooseHead. Moose is my son’s nickname at school. First gig was a major success…just wanted to share the love.

PS: he loves his Numark gear!”

The best part about this story is that Marcel Mazzuca aka DJ MooseHead is only 13!

If you have any great stories like this to share with us, please send them to our Marketing Manager, Ariff Glick, and you might be featured on our blog.

To make this all happen we partnered with manufacturers who provided us with products to use in the RV. From AVID, we were given a Sputnik mic, ProFire 2626 interface, Studiophile Q40 headphones, Axiom Pro 25 MIDI controller, DSM3 studio monitors, and iLok key for ProTools. Focusrite provided us a workhorse, with their ISA 220 mic preamp. JBL provided a great set-up for our DJ station, LSR
