“I LOVE RAP” 2010 RAP-UP SHOW (03/25)

This is a must see show , Ya’ll!!! Thanks to Ms. Dia of “The Show”, which is a radio program that airs on 89.3fm… Wednesdays at Midnight- 3am. Just in case you missed the earlier article I wrote, selecting Ms. Dia for 2010 “Promoter of the Year” honorable mention… here’s the link. This particular edition is highlighting some of Atlanta’s best Artists and there most memorable songs, which got play on “The Show” during 2010. Atlanta’s Solo Emcee of the year, “Boog Brown” will be performing a featured set! Plus, Atlanta’s 2010 Group of the year… “Mighty Network” will be in the house rocking the stage as well! Alongside Boog and The Network there will be other acts performing such as: Adrift Da belle, Methuzulah, IL, The Beat Gods, Journey Brave, Lyric Jones, The HEROES, Loch, PRODUX, and Golden Chyld.

Previously on part 1 to this entry, “Atlanta’s Most Influential” we discussed our favorites for the following categories: Graffiti/Graphic Artist, B-Boy/B-Girl, Dj, Male Emcee,  & Hip-Hop promoter. Atlanta’s Indie Scene: 10 Women in Hip-Hop You Should Look Out for in 2011 & Beyond (Part 1of2)

I was doing some research on emceeing, rapping… you know the art of rhyming, and stumbled across a surprising fact: Females in Hip-Hop are truly hardly ever mentioned. As I noticed this, I began to wonder “Why?”. I mean, talents like  Dj Kool Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, Frosty Freeze and Lee Quinones did have counterparts like Sha Rock, Lisa Lee, Lady Pink, Dj Spinderella and so on. So, I decided to take the time out to introduce you all to 10 of Atlanta’s most influential Women in Hip-Hop.
