American Audio VMS4 Traktor Controller Review

American Audio is breaking into the Traktor game and they are getting it done with their new controller the VMS4 Traktor Controller.  Drawing off of the success of its Virtual DJ cousin, the VDJ VMS4, this version has been given an updated paint scheme and comes with a specal version of Traktor that is mapped perfectly to the controller.  It’s a four-deck mid-range Traktor controller with some pretty cool features. We are going to break down the controller piece by piece to see how it stacks up against its Virtual DJ counterpart.

Construction

Construction wise this controller is a beast, it is made of solid metal and has four rubber corners that give it good traction on the DJ table.  The rubber edges elevate the controller slightly off the table which is nice because DJ tables have tendencies to become soaked with beer or other foreign liquid substances and …

Mid-Range DJ Controller Comparison

Which controller should I get? This is the question of the year for me and believe me, I like to answer it. There are so, so many to choose from these days and we always do our best to bring you all up to speed whenever we get them in. However, we have found doing “side by side” comparisons on the ones that are not only the newest, but the ones that are similar in price, feature set, and size make for a pretty good blog and video. We have received a good response when we have done them in the past so it’s certainly time that we do another one. This go round we have chosen four of the newer controllers in the mid-range priced between $500-$600. Here are the players.

Denon DJ MC3000

This is one of the most anticipated controllers of the year considering the success and …

They feature folding ear cups and gorgeous plush leather ear cushions that are even washable.  They have excellent gain, clarity and superior isolation which is …
