Deckadance 2 — a first look

If you’re in the market for a brand new out of the box MIDI controller this year, you should be aware of what is expected of you before you buy.  Some controllers come prepared to used with a specific brand of DVS software, so if that isn’t your slice of cake you’ll need to have alternatives ready in mind.  Another issue that compounds this situation is that there are more DVS choices now, than ever before.  We used to be stuck with watered down versions of Serato and Traktor to run controllers, but now there are smaller dedicated companies who are making software for specific controllers.

If you buy a Behringer controller, you may be surprised to hear that it comes with Deckadance – a less well known DVS.  Looking at the software at its current state reveals just how similar it is all of what is out there.  The …
