How valuable is a DJ’s name? Is it possible that a DJ’s success can be built and destroyed by his or her name alone? The subject of choosing a great DJ name gets passed around year after year. Since the beginning of DJ names in general, some of have been direct, some have been funny, and others have been just plain weird. Some of the most famous names come from an inside joke or background story that needs to be explained, and others come from the guys first name. Believe it or not, there is a DMC champed named DJ Chris. How boring, right? In this day and age, a good DJ name might have more of an effect than your skills alone; it kind of like how a good license plate is always worth a good laugh. It’s memorable.
