DJ’S, EDM, ADHD, WIFI: YOU NEED TO TAKE A BREAK

Computers have actually done a lot for music.  For the most part, they have made producing music much easier and accessible to the average person.  As far as DJing goes, it has without a doubt made the task of mixing music much easier on everyone involved – but sometimes it does …

Behringer CMD Micro Review

We have all felt the technology catching up to our 21st century demands across multiple platforms and applications. For DJs, they now have the ability to prepare a set, experiment with new mixes, or hone their craft just about anywhere. Everything from tablet technology to smart phone crate organization has been streamlined to give DJs a sense of freedom when getting in the mix on the go. While all these touch screen applications are great, sometimes you want a piece of hardware to grab and mix with, but still keep a low profile when traveling or when kicking back on the couch. Certainly one of the smallest DJ controllers to hit the market was the Numark DJ 2 Go with its 2 deck control and proprietary Virtual DJ LE skin. The DJ 2 Go had all the form for portability but lacked some key features in terms of functionality.

When we interviewed Drumcell he was performing with two laptops: one to use with Traktor and utilizing 4 decks, and the other with Ableton where he was launching clips with Native Instruments Maschine. He noted that in the very near future he will be integrating …

Hercules RMX2 & DJuced 40 Degrees Review

If you are familiar with the Hercules line of DJ controllers you may notice some familiar things about the RMX2. At first glance it looks very similar to the Hercules 4MX with the same design and shape of that popular 4 channel controller. The release of the DJ Control Air earlier this year garnered enough attention that Hercules decided to integrate the four pads from that controller onto the RMX2. So what you essentially have is a hybrid controller merging the designs of two popular controllers in their line into one controller that has all the features and functionality of a pro DJ controller but at a fraction of the price. This is the sort of thing we come to expect from Hercules which has been a consistent player in the market for low cost and fully functional DJ controllers.

The Hercules RMX2 has been rumored to be shipping with …
