Review: djay 1.6 for iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch

So now that Algoriddim’s new version of djay (version 1.6) is out on the market – what has been changed, and what’s better about it?  The first that that you’ll notice is that there haven’t been any obvious changes to the interface, unless you’re one of the lucky few to have scored a new iPhone 5 – in which case you’ll take advantage of the extra screen space with more visible options at your finger tips.

Of course the most anticipated change was Apple’s doing, with their updated iOS 6.  The dual stereo output means that live cueing and listening is available using both the headphone jack and the 30-pin connector (if you have an iPad).  In usage, it works as advertised.…

Numark iDJ Live at Winter NAMM 2011

The iPad, as we said earlier, was the hot item at the show this year. There were so many fantastic controllers designed to integrate with it for many different uses. Numark had one of the coolest controllers in the iDJ Live.  We had loads of fun controlling Djay by algoriddim on the iPad. It truly is plug and play and it comes ready to rock with cables for  master and headphone out for monitoring the mix. We also had a first hand look at the Numark iDJ app for iPad as well.  Thanks to Felix at Numark again for showing us the goods. Check it!
