Frank Ocean and Chris Brown in Fight at L.A. Studio

As successful as music artist can be, they can’t escape the fact that they’re human.  With success comes responsibility, but aspects like humility and jealousy are hard to control.  When artists, who are at the pinnacle of their career, come together, the results can be marvelous or disastrous.  Although it seems to be more common among hip-hop and R&B artists, it doesn’t mean that it is a phenomenon that is strictly for their genre – you can expect any two artists competing against each other to harbor some sort of resentment for another’s success.  We are only human right?

Musicians and celebrities in the public eye have to learn to deal with their celebrity status.  Nobody ever has a problem being an average Joe who unknown to the world, but celebrities have to learn that their private life is not private any more.  If they simply sneeze in the wrong direction, someone will be on the other side to catch their cold in the wind.  It’s sort of a double edged sword situation where you enjoy the spotlight, but cannot escape it at the same time.  We’ve seen many music celebrities battle the local police departments and paparazzi; sometimes they win and sometimes they don’t.

Frank Ocean has been in the spotlight for reasons other than his ability to sing.  His personal life has been a big subject for people to spar over, which is somewhat sad due to the current state of our culture as a whole.  …

Looks Like Frank Ocean Is Bringing John Mayer to “Saturday Night Live”

Rumors have been spreading that the first show of the Saturday Night Live season will also include John Mayer as a live musical act – joined by none other than Frank Ocean himself.  Although it is merely twitter speculation and cannot be confirmed, the two singers on stage at one time will definitely have an impact on the number of viewers who tune in to the opener.

Add to that comedic genius, Seth MacFarlane will also make his first appearance on the show as the guiding host.  Ocean has recently made many television appearances, and has had very little in his path to block him from the center stage.…

Echo Chamber: Stevie Wonder on Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean’s controversial statement about his sexual orientation that was released many months ago caused quite a stir in the R&B community. Many of his fans were enlightened by Ocean’s “frankness”, while others were simply shocked and enraged to hear the truth about the singer’s lifestyle.

Stevie Wonder had made an ambiguous comment alluding to Ocean being “confused” about his sexuality during an interview with Guardian, but later clarified his statement as not to offend him or leave readers guessing Wonder’s perspective.  Stevie Wonder later made it clear that he was a supporter of all types of love – even between a man and another man, and stated that bigotry had no place in the industry.…
