Le Castle Vania: Guidance for Beginners

Producers and DJ’s: tune in for this final part of Le Castle Vania’s interview. If you are an up and coming artist, you should give this a listen. Wanna-be’s and copycats plague every genre of music and it’s no surprise. Just turn the radio dial to a Clear Channel or Cumulus station and listen to the first five songs that play. Le Castle Vania doesn’t say anything revolutionary in this part of his interview, it’s not the first time anyone has ever said it, but the more advocates that come forward and say it and the more artists will take the message to heart. In case you missed it, you should also check out Le Castle Vania talking about his personal studio gear.

Le Castle Vania: Personal Studio Gear

It’s no big secret: EDM producers work almost exclusively on their laptops. Anybody could get a laptop, the right software, and produce tracks just like Le Castle Vania or deadmau5, right? Well, almost. We toured the 2012 ID Festival with Le Castle Vania and had the pleasure of bringing him onto our bus. Le Castle Vania talked about some of the outboard gear he uses in this part of the exclusive interview on the UniqueSquared Mobile Studio. He’s come a long way from remixing tracks in his bedroom to headlining festivals and he shared that journey with us. You can check that out here if you missed it. Also, be on the lookout for the final part of Le Castle Vania’s interview in which he gives some guidance for any up and coming artists.

Identity Festival 2012: In the Studio

Artists from all over the world came together to play the Identity Festival Tour this summer. In the blazing heat, on burning hot asphalt, even in torrential rains they kept the music playing and the crowds dancing. But when they needed to escape the elements after their set, we were ready and waiting. We parked the Mobile Studio by the stage. We cranked the AC and stocked the fridge with cold drinks. After a little R&R we turned the artists loose in the studio, powered up our cameras, and let the magic begin. Check out this video with Space Jesus, Mr. DOT, and Stephan-Jacobs working on the Mobile Studio.…

Identity Festival 2012: Le Castle Vania

Atlanta native and world touring DJ/Producer Le Castle Vania is a force to be reckoned with. Hitting the underground rave scene in Atlanta as a teenager, Le Castle Vania has spawned one of the biggest local followings in the city and has won the thumping heart beats of hundreds of thousands of ravers and electro music aficionados. In addition his music has taken on a life of its own which has required him to set up shop in his Los Angeles studio when he is not playing packed houses. Le Castle Vania is always making music and is a skilled engineer, producer, and songwriter if you didn’t already know. Taking influences from heavy, gritty, and hard sounds, Le Castle Vania lit up stages all across the U.S. this year on the Identity Festival Tour, and we were there to catch it all.…

Identity Festival 2012: Stephan Jacobs

While the Mobile Studio was touring the East Coast with Identity Festival, our team had the pleasure of meeting Stephan Jacobs, a music producer from LA. Not only did we get to jump up on stage with cameras and film some of his live set (which was fantastic), but we also got Stephan to come onto the Mobile Studio and tell us a little bit about himself. He shared some of the big things he has coming up like his tour with Pretty Lights.  Be on the lookout for Stephan Jacobs. If he is coming to a town near you, we highly recommend that you catch his show because we thoroughly enjoyed it.…
