Previously on part 1 to this entry, “Atlanta’s Most Influential” we discussed our favorites for the following categories: Graffiti/Graphic Artist, B-Boy/B-Girl, Dj, Male Emcee,  & Hip-Hop promoter. “Inner G” from Eddie Coleman’s FRIDAY NIGHT THEME MUSIC

 

Dirty Drum Academy producer Illastrate presents his ode to Friday night with his new album Eddie Coleman’s Friday Night Theme Music. This album is a celebration of good people, good music and the struggles of life, set to Illastrate’s signature hip hop sound.

“Inner G,” The lead track from the album features Lyric Jones and Fatima in a melodic anthem. This instrumental project takes listeners from Friday night to Saturday morning with highs, lows and baselines. The album also features Naira, Amdex (From Clan Destined), RockMost, and Jeffmatic. The project will be available Dec. 29th just in time for the last Friday on 2010.

Atlanta’s Indie Scene: 10 Women in Hip-Hop You Should Look Out for in 2011 & Beyond (Part 1of2)

I was doing some research on emceeing, rapping… you know the art of rhyming, and stumbled across a surprising fact: Females in Hip-Hop are truly hardly ever mentioned. As I noticed this, I began to wonder “Why?”. I mean, talents like  Dj Kool Herc, Afrika Bambaataa, Frosty Freeze and Lee Quinones did have counterparts like Sha Rock, Lisa Lee, Lady Pink, Dj Spinderella and so on. So, I decided to take the time out to introduce you all to 10 of Atlanta’s most influential Women in Hip-Hop.
