Those who follow financial reports and who are interested in stock investments probably have a good idea of who the big players are.  There are the companies who tend to do well, and then there are the investor who seem to know everything about the economy.  Not surprisingly, the best investors are often the ones with the most money – and since it takes money to make money, these people seem to be the richest in America.  These days, rich is not measured in millions of dollars, rather, it is measured in billions.  There are only a handful of billionaires in this country, but those who have the money just can’t seem to have enough of it.

Stereo Cueing & In-App iTunes Store: iOS6 djay for iPad & iPhone Drop

Not all has been lost with that chaotic frenzy that has ensued from iOS 6’s compatibility issues with numbers apps out there.  PPG WaveGenerator was the first to go down with stuttering and crashing resulting from the update.  However, other developers were diligent and planned for the release – and what do you know, some crucial changes have been made that actually benefit the app makers!

Algoriddim’s djay app is one of the most well respected iPad apps out there, and offers ease of use and functionality like no other.  iOS 6 brought an important change that eliminates the use of headphone “workaround” in order to create a cueing channel.  Now, the headphone jack can be used exclusively for monitoring, and the live output is played back through the USB connection.…

7 Upcoming iPad Music Apps To Watch For

As always, musical applications are constantly being developed – some of them powerful, some of them whimsical.  Palm Sounds, a blog dedicated to keeping you updated on upcoming apps for handheld devices, posted its list of must-haves to keep an eye out for.

We recently glossed over PPG’s WaveGenerator, which is capable of visually creating wave-based sounds on the iPad with your fingertips.  Similarly, Retronym has been working on its own touch-based version of Akai’s flag-ship drum machine, the MPC-2000, and is expected to be as powerful as the simulated hardware itself.  Audiobus, will probably be one of the useful apps to look for, which grants the ability to route audio through various iOS applications, much like a desktop DAW would.…

Thanks To Wolfgang Palm For Listening To Users!

We recently announced that the Wolfgang Palm PPG WaveGenerator was made available for the iPad, and was praised for being a well put-together synthesizer, complete with an easy to use visual interface and loads of customization options.

Some musicians who purchased the PPG WaveGenerator experienced usability issue and bugs, which are typically expected, but they were delighted to hear that Wolfgang Palm had been keeping tracking of all of these problems.  Unlike a slew of other app developers, Wolfgang Palm has been directly responding to complaints through their Facebook page, and has been working hard on releasing updates and fixes.
