As you may have seen in some of the videos posted, we went out to Las Vegas a few months ago. While we were there, we were guests of Shecky Green (Jonathan Shecter) and the EDM empire he presides over at the Wynn/Encore. It’s been hard to really give people a picture of what exactly we were a part of as far as the events out there went… That is, until now. This highlight video, released by Shecky’s media team, shows some of the best moments from an eventful few days at Surrender, Tryst, Encore Beach Club and XS. Give it a watch and envy the luxury and lifestyle of a Superstar DJ in the Las Vegas scene.
It also has an appearance or three by the UniqueSquared Mobile Studio. Who knew that we’d see our favorite wheeled lounge/studio rubbing elbows with the likes of Steve Aoki, Lil Jon, Calvin …

While in Las Vegas for Massive Dance Week at the Wynn/Encore hotel, Lonely Paul and I got a chance to sit down with the artists performing that week to chat about studios, music, gear, and Vegas in general. In addition to some of the well established acts we talked to, we also had a chance to sit down with younger up and coming producers. Sultan and Ned Shepard are known by many as remix artists but they also work on their own original music with their host of performance and production tools.
We discussed these things in a video on our YouTube channel but if you want to see the full interview, check out the transcript below.

The Unique Squared Mobile Studio rolled into Las Vegas right at the beginning of Massive Dance Week at the Wynn/Encore Hotel and Casino. The bus was there to act as a VIP studio for the performers, in the event they wanted to work on music during the week’s festivities. The Wynn/Encore hosted a plethora of DJ’s including, Tiesto, Avicii, Afrojack, Deadmau5, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Lil Jon, Sultan and Ned Shepard, Calvin Harris, David Guetta, Steve Angello, and Swedish House Mafia. The DJ’s were spread out amongst the four stages the Wynn/Encore was offering: XS, Surrender, Tryst, and the Encore Beach Club. One of the stages was a straight up nightclub like XS, while others like Surrender and Tryst were some kind of club/festival stage and pool party hybrid that couldn’t be anything else other than a Vegas venue.
While Lonely Paul and myself were the only ones working on future …

So, while we were in Las Vegas for Memorial Day Weekend, we took the time to set up with the new James Tyler Variax guitars and the DT series amplifiers and have a bit of fun. In keeping with the spirit of the dance music weekend, I wanted to do something with guitars that was more applicable to dance music. The decision? To show you how to use loop slicing features such as the ones found in Native Instruments’ Maschine to add guitars into your tracks with a little bit of electronic flair. This video ended up happening over a couple of days because while we were shooting it, we were visited by Steve Aoki and Lil’ Jon. So you’ll notice some continuity issues in the wardrobe department.
One thing that we cut out since we have been editing the footage from Vegas, is a simple little breakout tutorial where …
