Ambicon 2013 To Celebrate 40 Years Of The Hearts Of Space Radio Show

Listening to the radio these days just isn’t what it used to be.  But I could say that about many things related to music and television as well.  In their infancies, there were more original concepts and ideas being thrown around, and radio was still experimental in its golden years.  Radio programs and DJs followed a similar history; one that started out of a love for music that needed to be shared.  Radio programs naturally had advertisements to pay the bills, but the idea of the radio wasn’t centered on the need to sell products that were completely unrelated – it was boring out of the need to expose listeners to new things.

Of course, obtaining music wasn’t very easy, so naturally listeners would gravitate to their radio sets in order to hear something new or relatable.
