Review by BurritoManiaThis software is totally grand. The main reason I bought it was for the "Denoiser" plugin. I recorded a church choir in a very nice location but the room was just noisy. You know what I mean - the hiss of dead air. First I tried the trial just dinking around and then when I heard the results I had to buy it. I tried Audacity first, but this has less negative impact on what remains. Audacity made it sound kind of "dead" and muffled.
It's easy to use as a plugin within Pro Tools. Add it to an audio track (don't do it on the master bus; it's not as effective) and then load the window. Click the "learn" button and play some dead air. It'll create a noise profile. Then listen to the track - the difference is pretty great, and the very best part about it is that to me it doesn't seem to have any dulling or deadening effects on the audio that you want to keep. You don't hear the noise during play back at all. It was truly a miracle worker for me.
It's actually fairly light on the CPU as well. I have a nice laptop, but it's still not as fast as new desktops and two instances of the plugin barely makes my CPU budge. Still, if you need to you can learn, save a preset, go to AudioSuite, load the preset, and offline process it. The results are identical.
Yes, I recommend this product.
