The PRX18S from JBL is a self-powered compact subwoofer that provides an extended bass response when combined with a PRX600 series loudspeaker. The subwoofer has an 18" Differential Drive neodymium driver housed in a cabinet that's similar in size to most 15" subwoofers. The driver is powered by a 600W Class-D Crown amplifier to provide a strong and efficient performance with low distortion.
The speaker has XLR inputs for stereo or mono signals, plus a speaker-level 1/4" mono input and an XLR loop-thru connector. A polarity switch is provided for ensuring that the subwoofer is in phase with your PA speaker. The cabinet is constructed from plywood and has a durable Obsidian DuraFlex finish and 16-gauge dent-resistant powder-coated steel grille for a life of professional use.
