This is a fairly versatile product. After having it for two years, I've seen many use it for both recording automation patterns as well as controlling macros during live performances. A couple things I've noticed:

    -PROS-
    1) Very affordable
    2) Small, easy to transport
    3) Easily mappable to software
    4) Lots of knobs, sliders, etc.

    -CONS-
    1) Had to replace the cords after 2 years
    2) Doesn't look as professional (comparatively)
    3) Cheaper build, but price reflects that

Overall, this is a 3-star product. Wouldn't put it any other way. (Posted on 6/20/13)

  2. Super-mappable, cheap controller Review by =iZer

Although I respect the other review on this product, I totally disagree with its rating of this product. Part of that is the reason why I bought this controller. I needed an effects/hot cues/sample controller that would allow me to control all my Traktor effects AND have instant gratification-style effects such that could be seen on a MidiFighter (notice that a MidiFighter costs $150!). I found this midi controller very easily mappable, as it offers so many knobs, sliders and buttons (a total of 168 mappable parts!!!!!!). That being said, with cheap material comes a weaker construction: the buttons can jam if you put them in a certain way, the sliders feel simply alright. Overall though, this is a 4-star product for me. (Posted on 9/1/12)

  3. Kind of cute Review by BurritoMaster

This thing is more or less just a toy. Yeah, it's functional, but it's difficult to deal with:

Not compatible with Pro Tools - you have to buy the version 2 of this product for a PT compatibility mode.
The default layout isn't really meant for any DAW - manual layout or scene download required.
    Build quality is pretty awful.
The bundled software (which isn't really bundled; you have to download it from Korg) is a pain to navigate in order to flash a new scene to the device.

About the only good thing is that it came with a coupon worth what I paid that you can use on the Ableton store. (Posted on 4/15/12)
