    To say that there's a lot in this bundle is an understatement. Here are the aspects I found most exciting:

    * Kontakt - best sampler ever, and the factory library is amazing. You got orchestral sounds from VSL (with a few basic articulations), choruses with morphable vowels, very nice ethnic sounds (complimented by yet more amazing ethnic sounds from the included West Africa library), plenty of amazing vintage synths, a very nice wonderfully-scripted Scarbee MMBass...

    *Drums - Komplete is a drummer's paradise. Battery is perfect for dance music with a gazillion kits and sounds, plus the ability to effortlessly play and organize all your other one-shot sounds. The included StudioDrummer and Abbey Road 60s drums are attempts to mimic other drum products (such as EZDrummer). They succeed in terms of the quality of the sound. They go above and beyond in terms of included effects, since these instruments run inside Kontakt that offers SSL EQ and Compression emulations and transient shaping. They fail in terms of usability, since Kontakt, where every patch has a fixed amount of real estate, places severe constraints on the user experience.

    * Guitar Rig - I don't play guitar, but when I do deal with guitars sounds or basses, I find the amps in GR don't produce the best tone. That said, GuitarRig is home to quite a few other effects now, including a rudimentary transient shaper, Traktor's 12 (decent for mangling stuff), and a nice zero-latency convolution reverb with plenty of presets.

    Heads up: Be prepared to do A LOT of downloading when you get this box. Virtually every product inside has been updated since Komplete was first released.

    Heads up #2: The box says Komplete is 27 products in one. No, it's not. NI simply calls some sets of Kontakt patches products. Sampled a couple of clavinets? That's a product! A few organs? Another product. Think of it as three really big products: Kontakt with obscene quantities of samples, GuitarRig with a sufficient number of effects, and Reaktor with some very crafty and creative instruments.
