Analog On Your Desktop. Nuff Said. Review by Carlos

THis thing is the real deal for bass sounds. The release sounds so good you don't even need to add reverb to create space in your sounds. I use mine for everything from leads to noise. You gotta have real analog, and don't be fooled by cheaper units that do less, or DIY kits- the Slim Phatty is the most affordable full featured analog synth out there with ALL ANALOG circuits. We use ours at our PACKED club nights and melt faces with basses all night lonnnnnggggg. (Posted on 4/6/13)
Moog Power on the Cheap Review by Rick

Cheap is a relative term here- but you can't beat the sound that comes out of the Slim Phatty for basses and leads. I never have to compress my bass sounds to get what I want anymore. I sometimes just go to the other room and listen to the bass thump and thrum and think how happy with my investment I am. It's so easy to make sounds on too. I tried getting the bass I wanted from plug ins for years, but the Moog Slim Phatty makes even the best engineered results seem like they took too long and weren't worth the trouble. Rackmount Wonder Bass Review by SynthNerd808

So, I bought four of these to handle analog duties alongside my Dave Smith Mopho and my other synths including my beloved analog modeling Korg MS 2000. I suppose I really only needed one, but I love having the four of them for all kinds of sound duties. Anything you can do with a monophonic synth, you can do with this. Moog's intermittent waveshape sounds and sync options give you endless options for coloring the sounds. I had been using the Dave Smith for bass sounds, but having a real honest to God VCO really does make a big difference. (The Dave Smith oscillators are DCO.) I have all four mounted in a rack and a couple of Moogerfoogers that I use to feed in outside modulation data in another rack next to it. It sounds great and it looks awesome. (Posted on 3/26/13)
Fat bass Review by Dropper69

This things the best. I had massive and fm8 because a friend told me thats what skrillex used but those were hard to use and I wanted to be able to grab buttons and make noises. Well this thing is perfect for that and my dubstep tracks are the best now but I wish it could do pad noises but my friend says thats what monophonic means is that it cant. He made fun of me but I just laughed because he is jealous I have a Slim Phatty and he doesn't. Whatever. I'd give it 5 stars if it could make pads. (Posted on 3/26/13)
