- Pretty great little bundle Review by BurritoSandwich
The software is just phenominal as well - Pro Tools is known the world over, and it's very easy to use. Some folks would tell you the paradigm of having everything look like an analog mixing console is getting old, but I "get" the idea of inserts, sends, aux buses, etc. Just think of it as wires going from one item's output to the next item's input. Plus some of the flexibility it gives you is cool - reroute one bus into itself or two busses that route into each other for a back-and-forth delay effect. It's neat. The instruments are good for starters, but if you want to get serious, just like everything else, get Kontakt or NI Komplete. The Avid Instrument Expansion Pack is nearly as much money as Komplete, and Komplete gives you everythign and isn't just limited to PT.
So overall, totally solid bundle meant to compete with Presonus's introductory interface/DAW bundle. It's well worth it to go this route over the others, though. The software alone is worth it. (Posted on 7/25/12)
