An honest appraisal Review by uest

I bought this speaker as a temporary replacement for my top of the line powered EV's that I sold (15 tops,18 bottoms). To make a long story short....this speaker blew away the EV's....2 of these would hit harder than the 4 EV's!....and at half the volume. Hearing is believing....it is with this success that this Behringer speaker is now are mains. And to rebut some of the disinformation i saw on a review above...this speaker has more bottom end than you need...you will actually have to take some out with eq. The comment about it not having bottom end is an out right story. The guy must be working for JBL or something. AND>>>> This speaker not only excels as a DJ speaker but as a BAND speaker as well...i know because i do both...I play drums for a rock band.....2 of these....is all you need for small and medium venue's....if you get 3 and lay one on the floor it provides a solid sub like low end for all the thump you need.......in other words....no need for a dedicated subwoofer for rock music. If you plan to DJ RAP...add a small sub to extend the low end. I am not affiliated with any company providing sound...this is straight up review. This speaker has performed for us now night after night....with no problems....(the EV's had to be sent back for repair on 3 occasions). Never have I felt that I got so much sound for the money.....matter of fact ....it exceeded it by 100% (Posted on 3/11/13)
Great speaker, just bought matching subs after selling the JBL, cant wait to hear full set up Review by Mike

I have no way of removing my previous review but if I could I would. I have now been using the Neo's for almost a year and have had many compliments on our sound, mostly from other stunned musicians. When I first got them, I was disappointed in the lack of punch but it was simply due to my own ignorance of not giving them a nice boost in volume. When I did and eq'd them, they do sound incredible for the investment. I like them so much that I recently purchased 2 of the 1400 watt subs to go with them.
We are a classic rock band and mic the drums only, sometimes, but rarely do we have to mic the instruments. The system sounds great for what we do with it and I believe it could easily handle most clubs from 100 to 500 people and give as much sound as needed. (Posted on 12/11/11)
No clarity, no bottom end, lacks volume levels of similar priced active cabinets. Review by Mike

Very disappointed in the clarity and low end punch. Expected more after reading the reviews from others and talking to the salesman. Please do yourself a favor and save and buy the Mackies or better yet the QSC's. I hear the new Mackie stuff is not the same quality as the old though so not sure about the newer stuff.
I bought a JBL 18" sub to go with them and it still lacks bottom end so I was very disappointed with the JBL also. I previously owned a Mackie system with the SRM450's and SWA1501's and it was heads above this system. After using the new system the first time in a crowd of about 250 I realized I had made a mistake by not stepping up and spending the extra money so my encouragement to you is to wait before you buy these unless there is no choice then these will suffice.
If I had bought them at Guitar Centers I could have gotten a full refund and traded up to the QSC's (Posted on 2/17/11)

I would like to try to find at least 1 thing wrong with these speakers, but, they are absolutely the most clear, most powerful, speakers I have ever used. I've used it with a duo, and outside with a full Classic Rock band reaching 1000 people (NO SUBS) and I can't believe what they will take. they are light... I used to lug around JBL 15s, and these are MUCH lighter even though they have the 2 amps inside.
We did a festival gig in an airplane hanger using a proffessional sound company. When it was our time to rock out, I asked the sound company if we could just use our own stuff (2 815Neos), so that they could take a break.
They laughed and said "sure'. Ten minutes into the set, the 3 sound guys came back out to listen, then came up to their own stacks of speakers, thinking we had plugged into their stuff.
They scratched their heads, and when we were done, told us they were selling their old stuff tomorrow! (Posted on 2/16/11)
