  1. Nice warm dynamic sound Review by Recording Dude
    Rating

I got one of these in February 2009. Since then I've used it on a few recordings with about 5 different people through an M-Audio DMP3 preamp. The sound is warm and a bit colored but with a nice clarity--not cheap-sounding at all. It kind of sounds like Howard Stern. One thing I noticed is that I had to almost max out my preamp to get the most sound out of it so it is not very sensitive. I heard a lot of rappers use it... I rap, but I really didn't like it for my style. I can recommend this to anyone who has a hard/loud singing/rapping style and uses their voice coming from the diaphragm. If you're not as loud and want more emphasis on your consonants, breathing and more detailed articulations I recommend a good condenser. As a dynamic microphone, however, and paired with a nice preamp it's the best I've tried--definitely studio quality. (Posted on 10/2/13)
