  1. nice sound for not much money Review by B.Funk
    Rating

Our church has been using this setup for about a year and a half with the worship band. We use them as monitors, and then the secondary outputs we use for the PA system.

It's got enough connectivity for a small band - we use the 1/4" stereo inputs for a Korg M3, the RCA inputs for our Roland TD9 drums, one of the mono line-ins for acoustic guitar, a dynamic mic on an electric guitar amp, and then 2 dynamic mics for vocals. Voila, instant band PA.

The mixer is nice in that it just attaches to the back of one of the montiors, and the other monitor has a cover for storing the speaker cables and power cable. It's extremely portable that way.

The only downside is no phantom power. That means no condenser mics. Not a big deal for us, but if you want to use these as the main outs for a quiet acoustic show, you'll need an external pre-amp for your acoustic guitar. It'd also be nice if it has RCA outs as well, so you can go to an audio interface and record the mix directly to your computer, but you can't have EVERYTHING. :D Still, I definitely recommend this setup. The StagePas 500 has phantom power and 2 extra mic/line inputs for bigger bands. (Posted on 9/1/11)
