AKG P420 Condenser Microphone

$199.00

A midnight black sedan pulls onto a derelict street. The door swings open, and a man in a dark black suit steps out, a gleaming case gripped tightly in his massive hand. A nervous man stands nearby, shrouded in shadow. "You got the stuff?" he intones. "Sure do," the man in black growls. Swinging the case into his open palm, he pops the lock, the nervous man licking his lips in anticipation. Inside, a beautiful AKG microphone and accompanying shock mount.
Ha ha, you probably thought it was like money or something. My friend Steve and I wrote this AKG fan fiction together. We're working on an original story set in the "Frasier" universe, but we thought this was a good story. With such great microphones, you can't help but get excited about this product.
OVERVIEW

In the Perception 420, 2 back-to-back large-diaphragm capsules create a flexible multi-pattern microphone capable of cardioid, omni, and figure-8 recording patterns. It features AKG's new design and logo style, True Condenser capsule technology, a switchable -20dB preattenuation pad, and a switchable bass-cut filter to minimize noise and boominess. The condenser microphone is housed in a rugged chassis with a gold-plated XLR-type output. Spider-type shock mount and metal case included.

In 2005, AKG launched the Perception models 100 and 200. This was the beginning of a big success story. With Perception, AKG created a new series of microphones with legendary AKG sound and quality at an outstanding price/performance level. AKG's Perception Microphones are among the best wired condenser microphones in their price range.
